What are freshwater pearls? Basically, they are pearls that are farmed. Originally, pearls were found naturally in oysters in the sea but because of the immense popularity of beautiful pearls, a way of growing pearls commercially was developed. This had the benefit of allowing us to offer pearl jewellery to our customers as well as being able to sustain the pearl trade.
